Bandana Headband

You will need:

•  Bandanas (cut in half so that each half forms a triangle)
•  Hot glue gun
•  Beads, flowers, jewels, buttons, ribbon, or any other kind of decoration. 
  
  

Lay your bandana out in a triangle as shown.

Next begin gluing the top edge down. Fold a little thinner than the width you want your headband to be when finished.

It will look like this when you are finished gluing the first edge.

You will continue folding and gluing one layer at a time until your bandana looks like this.

I love the pink and brown together, so I am going to cut strips of this sequin ribbon to place on some of the "seams".

Be sure they are the right length before gluing.

Now glue each strip along the seam you want it to follow.

I am now going to glue a few rhinestones.

I have had these circle beads for a while, so I decided to put them around the rhinestones to add a different look.

Next I decided to layer a couple of flowers topped off with a rhinestone.

Lastly I added a few turquoise rock beads. These are some of my favorite colors, especially when put together. This project is very simple and does not require much time. You can make your headband as simple or as complex as you would like. It is all up to your taste.

My sister being a great model. We both love wearing these bandanas on days when our hair is not cooperating and the only thing we can get it to do is go into a bun! With the bandana it still looks like we fixed our hair :)

Non-Slip Clip

You will need:

•  A hot glue gun
•  Plain hair clips
•  Ribbon

First cut a strip of ribbon long enough to wrap around your clip once.

Next glue one end to the inside of the top grip (the place you squeeze to open the clip).

Continue to glue your ribbon down the length of the top of your clip. Be careful not to glue your clip closed. I hold the clip open until the hot glue has dried (about 30 seconds or so).

Now check to make sure your ribbon is the right length so that when you finish gluing it will look like this. After trimming any excess, finish your clip off by gluing your remaining ribbon to the underside of the top half of your clip. You can always repeat this process on the second half of your clip to really give it a finished off look, but that is completely up to you.

This is how the finished product will look. They are super cute on their own or you could add a bow to the top. The options for decorating these little clips is endless! Enjoy your new clips :)

Tutu Bow

I am doing a very simple tutu bow today, but you can add any extra frilly feathers or anything else you think will look amazing. I plan on making one later on with a very pretty feather embellishment on top :)

You will need:

•  Needle and Thread
•  Tool either off the roll or you can purchase it by the yard and cut your own strips. They do not have to be perfect, just cut the width and length you want your bow to be. 
•  Ribbon cut the same length as your tool
• A Clip 

Place your tool and ribbon in the order you would like and then stitch through the middle of your bow.

Now wrap the thread around the center of the bow a few times before tying it in the back.

Tie a knot in the middle of an extra section of ribbon (be sure its long enough to tie around your bow).

Now take that piece and place your knot in the front of the bow and tie in the back.

 

Wrap one end of that ribbon around your clip and glue. Trim the excess off and repeat with the other end of the ribbon.

It should look like this when your finished.

Turn over and you have your finished tutu bow! How cute will this look in the hair of any little girl?

Curly Ribbon Bows

You Will Need:

•  Clear nail polish
•  Curly ribbon (see my previous post on how to make this ribbon)
•  Barrets, clip, or whatever you prefer your bows to be attached to
•  Ribbon
•  A hot glue gun or needle and thread
•  Any additional garnishing that you would like to add to your bows

 

Cut strips of the non-curly ribbon a little longer than the curly ribbon. You want them to stick out further on your finished bows.

Cut a "V" on each end of these strips and seal by dabbing a little clear nail polish along the edges.

Next you can either glue the strips together with the hot glue gun or just place them in your preferred order.

  

Now cut two pieces of ribbon four times the length of the rest of your ribbon and glue them in a circle like this.

Glue these large circles onto your first layer of ribbon (or if you are sewing your bow, place them on top)

Lay each half of the circles flat and glue (skip this step if you are sewing)

It should look like this when you are finished gluing them down.

You can now add your curly ribbon and any other embellishments. (If you are sewing your bow, you would now stitch through the center of the bow and then wrap your string around the center a few times before tying in the back. Continue on with the next steps.)

Tie a knot into an extra piece of ribbon (be sure it is long enough to fit around the center of your bow and still tie in the back)

Now tie around the center of your bow.

Place a dot of glue on the back of your bow and then place on your clip (or whatever you have decided to use).

Fold one end of the ribbon you previously tied around your bow to the inside of your clip.

Next glue the other end down. Cut any excess if necessary.

As you can see I am using a non slip clip. I will later give a tutorial on how to make these.

There you have it, a beautiful Curly Bow! Its time to let your little girl wear this masterpiece ;)
